Question:

Do we still have to pay if we are just going here for picnic and bonfire?

Answer:

Yes if you are driving in. According to the National Parks website it costs $8 per vehicle per day. The park has pay and display machines that accept both coin and card. If you have an annual pass on your car then no additional fee is required. by Benny C.

The only problem is the price way too high for what it offers and the fact that it’s not a powered site.

It is really worth the drive. We came late and didn’t do any bookings at all, luckily the staffs are very considerate and gave us the ticket (the thing to enter through the gate) to go in. It was an amazing experience for us as we are first timers. Really had a relaxing time at bents basin!
