Top Questions

Do the uncovered sites have water?
Unpowered, sorry by Amy F.
There is water available near the fire hoses spread out across the camp. It must be boiled to drink. UV treated water available at kiosk. My tip, especially it hot weather. Fill you water container with ice, as it melts, you have clean water to drink. by Bec

Just a beautiful place. Koala sightings 100%!! Pizza (get in and pre order in the morning) and outdoor movies on selected days, mini golf, rock climbing, electric bikes/tours, glamping (cabins) or roughing it (powered or unpowered sites, great bathroom facilities, washing/drying, horse back tours, camp kitchens (cooking/washing) bbq’s, walking trails around and to the cape ottway lighthouse. Ask the friendly staff about other activities before you head out into the area, very helpful and nice people! Loved this place will continue to recommend and will definitely be back!!
Nice spot, toilets and showers quite far from the non-powered sites and you have to pay for showers and fire wood on top of your camping fee.

We stayed at Bimbi from Boxing day through to NYs - the park was fantastic (we travelled with our three girls - all under 7). The park was clean, the amenities were all in working order and there was so much to do (bush walking, horse riding, mini golf and the list goes on!) we’ll definitely be going back!
Even though there were no koalas to be seen and plenty of noisy cockatoos to annoy even the most bird loving person, the campsite is well put together. Good shower facilities and the kitchen seems nice (always plenty of people) we cooked our meals at our campsite. Being able to buy ice and firewood on the grounds is a good feature. Tracks for walking and bike or motorcycle riding and best only 1 hour away from the 12 Apostles. Oh, and we saw some koalas on the road neat the park ;)

Not sure how to rate this campsite because we usually stay at way more expensive places and it’s my idea to show my fiancé that we can go a bit off the track and find gems. So was Bimbi Park a gem? It sure was! We only stayed at bunk room as to save ourselves from pitching a tent as we knew the weather will be bad. So can’t speak for the lovely cabins they have on the property but overall I found people were chilled unpretentious, most had a little chat, 3guys helped me set a fire up after rain, everyone had a laugh. Park is family run and it was lovely to meet them all. Kids participated in organised activities and made some friends. My 5yr old said her highlight was having a chat on the camp radio! For me it was best camping experience, I probably just appreciate small things. Beach is far but it’s rewarding once you get there- no one else around! I will be back!
