Are pets aloud ?

Can you swim in the river?
Yes, but it's a bit murky. Tends to be a lot of water craft on the river, especially on the weekends. by Brenton M.

$16 National Park vehicle overnight pass (quite expensive). $12 per person per person to camp. Booking is required. - Really spacious campsites - Swimming next to the river - Clean showers/toilets - Fire pits available You will be woken up in the morning by Kookaburras in the morning. Please clean up your shit up and throw your garbage in the bin. Put any food away or gigantic kangaroos will fight over it at night. There was no fire ban during the time I went, however please call before hand to check. Really nice place for families.

Came here with a whole bunch of families. Good old campsite with access to the Hawkesbury river. Old but still working sufficiently facilities. Including picnic shaded areas, fires allowed in lots of designated spots. Hot n cold water. Bring your own fresh drinking water. About an hour north from Sydney CBD. Lots of space for kids to roam free. Heaps of kangaroos that come up close around dusk. Good basic family all rounder campsite.
Stayed there 16,17th if February 2019. Great camping area for families. Hot showers, toilets, sink for washing up with hot water. Plenty of kangaroos , Birdlife. Bring your tent, swag,Camper trailers, caravans. Shelter areas with tables, taps around the park,BBQs. Camp next to the Hawkesbury River watch the boats, skiers, jetskis.
Great campsite where you can choose your spot. Fires are allowed. There are good amenities.
