Camper trailer friendly?
Camper trailer friendly?
There were plenty of trailers up the back last time I went 2yrs ago. I think they have since done some work to improve trailer access. by Laurence Van Burck
Okay thanks. Hoping it’s not too busy for this weekend. by Azza
A nice little campsite nestled in a beautiful forest. Some areas were very muddy and the second campsite is closed between July & October which means there’s just a small campsite. Lovely running river that can be heard from camp which is beautiful.
Great location, however since it has been recently renovated and upgraded it is now swarmed with messy and disrespectful people who have no idea about the high country, camping and how to camp responsibly in these areas. There is constant rubbish dumped and camp fires left unattended. Also as part of the renovation works, bollards were put in to stop the cars parking on the grassed tented areas, now preventing camper trailers or roof top tent campers with nowhere to go. Opening the access to this area up to everybody has ruined this campsite. It's only saving grace is its location along the river.
The renovations completed late last year have been fantastic to this site. 2 camp site locations, with plenty of space. Close to the river. Toilet blocks are tidy and maintained
Beautiful spot. Was there on Anzac Day with my kids and 2 dogs but cut short because of rain. Camp Up back setup well for camper trailers. Got in easy with my camper trailer. Wouldn’t recomend caravans. Clean drop toilets. Take own toilet paper. Going to sleep to the river sound and wildlife sounds from the hills was bliss. Will come back for sure. Only issue would be that possibly if raining a 2wd car may have trouble getting out. My navara was spinning coming out in the rain pulling the trailer.
Would be a lovely spot during quieter periods but was a little noisy with the Easter crowds
