Along this dirt track there are so many amazing free spots just pick one . As previously said by someone else there are some big bays or small ones. Amazing moon light reflecting on the ocean . Also walking track , Freycinet trail , is great . Just be careful of the cars driving past not to cover you in dust .

We were a bit north, between here & next one...fab semi-private spots all along this road! Just drive til you find one that suits. Many well protected from wind, with only room for one, & relatively easy access to the water...beach is rock, not sand. But great for a swim, dog loved it. Saw dolphins every day, too! BYO everything & leave no trace.

They say life is better around the campfire. And we could not agree more.  Over the years due to increase fire risk it's become a challenge to find great campsites that allow you to have a fire by your tent.  Please be a responsible Aircamper and brush up on your fire safety knowledge. Bushwalking NSW has a great article that'll give you the rundown on how to light a fire responsibly. Below we've collected some hidden gems near Port Augusta, SA that still allow you to sit back, toast your feet and incinerate some marshmallows while telling stories about camping when you were a kid.
