Great spot right by the river. There's even a fire pit on the stone pier. I set up camp right there and watched the sunset. The hike in overlooks the river often and goes through a few different biome... Read more
Unless your van turns into a boat good luck getting to this spot...

Amazing 3.5hr paddle by kayak to the campsite from Brooklyn. Beautiful sunset lookout from the boat dock, fire pits and clean toilets, plus a nearby trail to hike to a beautiful lookout over the Hawkesbury River - this campsite ticks all the boxes. FYI- no mobile reception!
Great little sheltered spot with a very clean and airy outhouse toilet. It doesn't afford much of a view unfortunately
Top Questions

Can you drive up in your own boat?
Possibly. Its right in the interior of the Hawkesbury, so it’s shallow and not consistently filled. It would be a gamble if you couldn’t gauge water depth ahead of time. But it might be possible with intel and planning. by Nikola S.
Sorry, was thinking about another spot! Yes, you can easily access Gentleman’s Halt by boat (and I recommend it unless you want a 9.5km trek in!). by Nikola S.
Can u drive to the campsite and are there more than one campsite ?
No, it’s a remote site and you’ll have to walk in. The space is one campsite but you can find a bit of privacy if there are other campers. by Nikola S.
