Great facilities, has everything a caravan park has but power, water and the fee!
For a free-camp, this site will be very hard to beat. Clean, tidy, neat and very inviting. Great views of the lake. Would be very hard not find a patch of grass to setup on. Very very comphy place to rest the body and recharge the body batteries. Ararat is only a short distance away. Make friends with the neighbours and you will have no issues locking up and leaving the van there. Get there early to ensure the best spot.
Arrived 23/3/20 at 4.00 just as they were closing the reserve due to covid-19. They allowed us to stay however I think we will be asked to move on poss tomorrow. At the moment it is sooo quiet and peaceful. There are toilets , water and fire pits. Many sites to camp

Previous reviews are a little bit misleading. Water level is low with lots of algae and very very brown, I wouldn’t swim in it. Wouldn’t even use the water for shower water :(. Lots of space but heaps of prickles and sharp grass. The views were nice though!
