I have visited on multiple occasions. Real campsite is not when you first arrive at the waters edge, it’s 200 meters further around to the north west.

A great place for a quick trip out of the city. It’s a one hour walk from Heathcote train station. It’s very secluded and serene but you have to bring everything. There’s no water and no toilets. If you’re ok with the cold, you can swim in the lake!
