How are the mozzies? Is campsite 4 good?
Can a sedan access this campsite ?
Easily - I’ve seen some pretty low 2wds here 👍 by Marton B.
Sweet thank you :) by George K.
I absolutely love this campground! Dogs are permitted on-leash and it’s a picturesque area to set up camp in. I’ve been twice, neither time was particularly busy but it was during the cooler ‘off-peak’ months. I’ve ridden the MTB trails into Forrest and also walked the Lake Elizabeth loop. Not all camp spots have a fireplace, and some are quite close together, so do your research to find a spot that suits either group bookings or something a bit more private. You can also see which spots have been booked if you’d rather set up camp away from other visitors. I particularly like that vehicles are separate to the camping area (there’s a designated parking area at the top), it keeps everything simple and you really feel like you’re ‘getting back to nature’!
Pretty Forrest Saw a koala! So many pretty robins and variety and birds that visit the site which is really sweet The parking and drop off system works really great! The water is a bit far away for my taste also officially not allowed swimming Toilets nice and clean Camp sites a bit to close together and small area so weekend is busy and cramped and if you are unfortunate enough to have a bad visitor then the whole area is effected no escape.
Beautiful campsite. Really loved out time there. Drop toilets were clean. No cell reception up there. The map I thought was a little misleading but still good. We booked #3 which was close to the toilets and carpark/loading area, and we had a fire pit nearby.
Shared campfires nice remote site. No mozzie problems
Such lush surroundings! Lots of space, great walks. Take care when walking - tiger snakes are around - we nearly stepped on one!

Top 10 campsites that allow fires near Sorrento Ocean Beach, VIC
They say life is better around the campfire. And we could not agree more. Over the years due to increase fire risk it's become a challenge to find great campsites that allow you to have a fire by your tent. Please be a responsible Aircamper and brush up on your fire safety knowledge. Bushwalking NSW has a great article that'll give you the rundown on how to light a fire responsibly. Below we've collected some hidden gems near Sorrento Ocean Beach, VIC that still allow you to sit back, toast your feet and incinerate some marshmallows while telling stories about camping when you were a kid.
