Beautiful remote campsite with composting toilet and some fire pits. You can’t source wood locally so if you’re planning on cooking I’d recommend going with a stove cooking system. Caveat: entry/exit is on very steep gradients. I would not recommend this for anyone with mobility/health issues as it is arduous.
I have stayed here a couple of times. It’s a challenging MTB ride in, and would not be possible with camping gear. When I have camped I’ve kayaked in. And it is accessible by tinnie, but the creek is tidal, and you’d need to travel at or near full tide. Great quiet spot.
The hike to the campground was quite difficult carrying heavy camping equipment, very steep inclines and declines. The spot it self was pretty but there were very aggressive giant red bull ants nests EVERWHERE. We left after one night because we couldn't relax outside because of the ants.
Really loved the campground - We chose to stay at Orchard Site. The hike in was relatively easy. The hike out - not so fun. We were supposed to be picked up via motor boat however there is no way that a boat could access so bear this in mind.
