Easy access campsite and not far from town. A bit windy when we were there. Flush toilet and tap water available at the end of campsite.

Visited in Jan, nice spot but was had a lot of people. Weather wise: quite windy and a little humid at night too! Toilets onsite and pets allowed

Clean and tidy grassed park on the edge of the lake, has toilets. We found it a good base for travel in the Otways

Question:

Disclaimer: First time young family campers 🤭 Is booking required for this site or is it first in best dressed? We’re planning on arriving tomorrow (NYE 2020), is it likely to be packed out?

Answer:

G’day Andrianna, welcome to the joy of camping. It is first in, best dressed. It would really pay for you to check out the map of the area and check which way the wind is blowing. If it is coming across the lake, it can get quite chilly. by Dave F.

Answer:

Sorry, just a bit more. They also have a number of pre-arranged fire pits so if you take your own wood............ by Dave F.

Answer:

Oh thanks so much! I did see that the wind off the water is cold, how do I check out the wind direction, does the aircamp map show this? by Adrianna B.

Answer:

No it does not. Pity. However, if you check a reasonable map, it will show you true north. Then just check the expected wind direction on the BOM map. by Dave F.

Answer:
