Top Questions
Are dogs allowed?
Afraid not. No National Parks allow pets. But you can find Pet friendly campsites by choosing the Pet Friendly filter. 🐶 by Mike W.
Thank you, I didn't realise there was a filter for that so much appreciated. by tim l.

Absolutely amazing place. My partner and I only spent 1 night here but could have spent plenty more. A place where you can go, do absolutely nothing and yet be totally okay with it. Birds sing beautifully and the kookaburras laugh. The lake is great for a swim, paddle board or a kayak. Take a 5 minute walk down towards the boat ramp and you’ll find a short yet nice trail walk to the top of a headland with a historic cemetery halfway up. Easy access in and out with only a couple Kms of dirt road to travel across once off the bitumen to get there. Not a huge number of campsites however, so I reccomend getting in earlyish during the day in hopes to get a good site on the nice green grass.

Easy to get to, has reception, nice clean facilities and the lake Is beautifully clear water.
This place was the second option we had. The first was Walligat’s Riverside Campground which was wet and better on a 4WD. So we decided to go here which was 10 mins down the road it is easily assessable with a 2WD. It was gloomy and rainy so the pot holes were wet and road was abit muddy but still fine. There’s a bbq here and you can swim in the lake. The place doesn’t take bookings but there’s a box to put in cash for the National Park fee (I know it’s not compulsory but they have recycling and garbage bins and take care of the place nicely so we put in $10 anyway). Toilet is a bit of a walk if you camp next to the lake side. If you choose the forest camp side the toilets are right there.

Beautiful clean, sandy, flat water to swim. Safe for small children. Good size camp sites.
