Didn’t feel safe here as a couple in one car. There looked to be some homeless people permanently living there, nobody else around. Lots of rubbish and old cars without wheels, we drove in and straight back out again.

Peaceful camping grounds right beside the river. No toilets or drinking water so need to be self sufficient. Can turn off the A300 at the 60kph sign just before entering Shepparton for an easy route in. Just be aware the further you drive in the roads are badly rutted but many good spots to set up camp before that. Seems like a few campers before have just left their rubbish behind them - please please please clean up after yourself and don't ruin the natural environment.

A nice camping ground for the self sufficient campers, as there are no toilets or bbq facilities. There is easy access to the river for kayaking/canoeing, and you can use this water for cleaning (could also drink it but not recommended).

Bushland area off the Midland Highway (A300)
