Beautiful open area, some great spots tucked away near the creek which is a beautiful place to swim in Summer I would imagine. Dog loved it!
Fantastic little spot with a great view or the mountains from deep in the valley on the banks of the Clyde river. There are numerous camp sites but looks to be a reasonably popular sport so if you thinking of going get there early. The pit toilets are very clean and well kept. It’s a bit of a hike up the hill to the but if you can’t be bothered walk you can always drive up the hill to them(provided the gate is open. Great spot and well worth the 2+ hour drive from Canberra to get there.
Dirt road abit bumpy😊
Just spent 2 nights here over the weekend and it was awesome, everyone that was there were quite respectful with the noise level fairly early in the evening and mostly seemed to enjoy a sleep in as well. The river was flowing very well and was great to swim in.
Huge campground in the state forest. We went after some heavy rain and the roads were on the edge of being 2wd friendly. We had to help somebody out who got stuck unable to climb a muddy part in their SUV. It was busy when we were there between Christmas and New Years but there’s so much space that it doesn’t really matter. It gets pretty gnarly right before each of the bridge crossings so if you’ve got a city car then take it slow. Would definitely go again - it feels really wild out there but not too far from Mollymook and the coast.
New here to off road camping. Just wondering how to road in is as I’m a beginner ?
The road in is fine when I was there I saw normal cars arriving, personally I wouldn't take one in but you can do it. by Lionel D.
How’s it looking where thinking of going here over Easter break 5 adults 4 kids ?
Open now? Suitable for caravan?
Was the road leading to this site improved? Can a small RV get there easily?
It’s a lot better now yes you can get a RV out there now by Phil B.
thank you!! by Kriszta
Can you have your own fire for where you camp?
